Enabling Two-Factor Authentication

Last updated: June 20262 min read

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. Even if someone knows your password, they can't log in without your second factor.

1

Go to Settings → Security

Open Settings, then click the Security tab.

2

Click Enable 2FA

Find the Two-Factor Authentication section and click Enable.

3

Choose your method

Select Authenticator App (recommended) or SMS.

4

Set up your authenticator

Scan the QR code with an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.

5

Enter the verification code

Type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.

6

Save your backup codes

Download or write down the backup codes. Store them somewhere safe — you'll need these if you lose your authenticator.

Tip:We recommend using an authenticator app rather than SMS — it's more secure and works without a mobile signal.

Warning:Save your backup codes in a safe place. If you lose access to your authenticator app and don't have backup codes, account recovery may not be possible.
