Categorizing and Filtering Items

HomeRecall lets you filter and search your inventory in several ways — by room, by category, by search term, or by custom tags.

Filtering by room

On the Inventory page, use the Room filter dropdown to show only items in a specific room. Select 'All Rooms' to see everything.

Filtering by category

Use the Category filter to show specific types of items — Appliances, Electronics, Furniture, Tools, and more. Categories are assigned when you add or edit an item.

Searching

The search bar at the top of the Inventory page searches by item name, brand, model, and serial number in real time.

Sorting

Sort items by Name (A–Z), Date Added (newest first), or Purchase Price. Use the Sort dropdown next to the filter controls.
