Adding Items to Your Inventory
Items are the core of HomeRecall. An item can be anything you own — an appliance, a piece of furniture, a piece of electronics, a tool, or anything else worth tracking.
Go to Inventory
Click Inventory in the left sidebar.
Click + Add Item
Use the button in the top-right corner, or the quick-action on the Dashboard.
Enter the item name
Give it a clear name you'll recognize — for example, 'LG Washing Machine' or 'Samsung 65" TV'.
Select a room
Assign it to a room so you always know where it lives.
Add details
Fill in the brand, model number, serial number, purchase date, and purchase price. These are optional but very useful for insurance and warranty claims.
Upload a photo
Add a photo of the item. This is helpful for insurance purposes and quick identification.
Attach a receipt or warranty
Upload any relevant documents — receipt, warranty card, manual — and attach them to the item.
Save the item
Click Save Item. It will appear in your inventory immediately.
Tip:Prioritize high-value items first — appliances, electronics, tools, furniture. You can always add smaller items later.
Note:The more details you add (model, serial number, purchase date), the more useful HomeRecall becomes for insurance claims and warranty issues.
